Rooted in culture.
Built through community.
Lao Arts and Culture Collective is a Minnesota nonprofit organization connecting youth, families, artists, and elders through cultural education and shared learning.
Culture to learn,
practice, and share.
LACC provides educational arts opportunities to Lao youth and showcases Lao arts and culture. Our work helps young people build cultural knowledge, creative confidence, and relationships.
Language, artistic expression, stories, and cultural practices connect generations. We create spaces where this knowledge can be shared and carried forward.
Our mission
Create inclusive, community-forward experiences where Lao arts and culture sit at the center of multigenerational exchanges of skills, knowledge, and joy.
Our vision
Build a sustainable Lao cultural hub where students, artists, and community members learn, lead, and preserve heritage through music, storytelling, and intergenerational exchange.
Building a lasting
community institution.
As our programs develop, we are strengthening the governance, resources, and shared responsibility needed to sustain them.
Clear direction
Board leadership, thoughtful planning, and consistent program oversight keep the work connected to our purpose.
Strong foundations
Financial practices, policies, and sustainable support help us care for the organization and its resources.
Shared participation
Artists, families, volunteers, and community partners bring knowledge and skills that strengthen the collective.
